Now the Christmas sewing is in full swing at my house. I have customers, deadlines and a frowning child that seems to want one of everything I make. These little sisters are adorable and I think these will make the most beautiful pictures. My model is bigger than the larger dress so try not to notice that it is not buttoned up all the way. But anyway, back to my talking about how wonderful my creations are.... I think they turned out cuter than I even imagined they would. Mom was overjoyed with these.
These next two dresses are for the same adorable sisters. This exact fabric and smocking plate was used on the last issue of Creative Needle. Well, we thought they would make adorable dresses for casual Christmas outings. I love the bottom ruffle. Needless to say, but Sydney is now wondering where hers is and she is very mad that I haven't made her one of each of these too.

There is just something about seeing two of the same the brings a smile to my face. I love love love making sister outfits. So cute! Man, I need some twins! (To sew for... just so we're straight on that one!)

Okay, my house was cleaned today and all the sewing was put away until Friday. Now, onto the kitchen and a week's worth of cooking. Then I will be hitting the sewing room hard getting ready for Christmas. Lots of hand made gifts this year. Stay tuned!

My baby with baby animals---ahhhhh, how sweet is that?

I had a friend of mine pick me up this cute baby animal fabric at Joann's earlier this Fall and I have been looking at it off and on for a month or two. I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. But then I found these adorable black knee high boots for Miss Priss (see below) and I knew they would look adorable with some cute little swing dresses.
Notice the sweet, innocent stance of my future supermodel/princess of a daughter. I did black buttons down the back and black ties on the side slits. She wore this to school today. It was 38 degrees but with her high boots and black leggings, she was stylish AND warm!
I have a couple more cute little swing dresses like this for winter. Just need to get all this Christmas sewing done. My list is growing and my time is shrinking!

Yes, I have been sewing!

We got back from Florida and I missed my sewing room so much! I dug right in and made lots of fun outfits last week. Here are some of them that I have made lately. This is a quick and easy Butterick pattern. I changed the back to buttons because me and zippers are not good friends. This dress was for Brown Day at school. Sydney does not like brown so pink had to be everywhere. I was thinking that it would be so cute with turquiose buttons down the back and turquiose tights. But Miss Sydney had other thoughts this morning. She loves her leggings more for school. She is still tight challenged in the potty room.
I fell deeply in love with this beautiful green corduroy. It is so soft. Sydney didn't like that the girl's name is Sunbonnet Sue. She renamed her "Turkey Making Girl" So here is her Thanksgiving Day outfit. Her and Turkey Making girl should be a huge hit. The ruffle was an afterthought. I knew she had a growth spurt but I forgot to redraft this pattern so I added this one and a half inch ruffle and I really like it. It brings the dress on Turkey making girl really together.

I loved these knits. I am really having fun making these fun easy care items. This is an old OOP pattern and my same leggings pattern that I have been using lately. I plan on using these red/white/green leggings with a couple of jumpers from last year that are too short now.
