My little Valentine had her preschool Valentine's party. So, of course, she needed a party dress. She requested it to be twirlly. I had this cute pattern that I have made before and knew that was what I would be making. Then a very good friend of mine, who adopted Sydney as her very own grandchild, sent me these two fun corduroys.
I actually finished this little number on Monday and it has been hanging in my sewing room for the past 5 days. Sydney would stroke it and rub on it every time she walked past it. She couldn't wait for her party today to wear it.
I did tweak this pattern a bit. I can't stand zippers in children's clothes. So I am forever changing those dreaded zippers in patterns to buttons. They just seem more classic and appropriate for little ones. Call me a purist!
