Dolly's New "Blanklet"

Sydney wanted Dolly to have her own Blanklet, so I gathered up all my favorite pink and green cottons and started cutting away. This was so much fun. Just stitching 4 by 4 pieces of fabric together and then off I went. This little blanklet measures 32 inches square so it is big enough for her to sit on with Dolly and have tea parties, but small enough for her to carry around the house with her.
It is not a typo me calling it a blanklet. Sydney has always said that. I think she gets it confused with Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. And it was just so cute that we couldn't correct it. It brings a smile to my face every time she says it. I have a huge list of these sweet words that she says. I don't dare correct them either! And I give a dirty look to anyone who does. My little one is growing up too fast as it is, I am just trying to savor every last morsel of her sweetness!
The backing for this quilt is some leftover fabric I had in my stash from a sweet dress I made her last summer. I think I may have to make some more of these! I think I have opened up a huge can of worms with this quilt! I loved it! I can't wait to make another one.

My new purse

I decided that I needed a new fun purse. I love it! I may have to make a couple more or even a shoulderstrap one to sell on our new Etsy site. But for now, this one is MINE!!! I may need a skirt to go with it...or a dress....hummmmmm the wheels are turning rapidly!!!

I am in love!

I am so in love I just can't stand it! I have been drooling over this lovely fabric for days now. I can just see little girls in twirly dresses and ruffly pants with these beautiful fabrics! I can't wait until I can get my hands on them! Because my stash needs this in it! It is lonely! This is Sandi Henderson's newest collection Farmer's Market. Isn't it just the yummiest, calorie free eye candy you have ever seen?

She has it in a Spring, Summer and Fall color scheme! Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!
